About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team at First American Financial Company. As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in facilitating our Agile team's success by ensuring we follow the Scrum framework and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive effective Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track and distribute relevant metrics to show team progress and velocity.
  • Identify and remove impediments to optimize team workflow.
  • Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communications.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and stakeholders to minimize interruptions to the sprint.
  • Build a safe and trusting team environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continual improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and coach high-performing software development teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with JIRA or other Agile tools to measure team productivity and report metrics.
