We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Aesthetic Services team at Duke Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Pull and prepare all necessary equipment and supplies for surgeries, adhering to surgeon-specific requirements.
- Set up and maintain a sterile surgical field, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, and restock exam rooms as needed.
- Alert team members to low supply levels and take initiative to restock as required.
- Perform all responsibilities with a focus on Service Excellence, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or successful completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam.
- Level I: Entry-level position for new graduates or Surgical Technologists with 0-18 months of experience.
- Level II: Requires 6-12 months of full-time equivalent Surgical Technology or relevant military experience.
This position requires 8-10 hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, with less than 20 hours per week. Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the department.
