Recreation Therapist

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at a correctional facility. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing therapeutic recreation programs for patients, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs for patients, including individual and group activities
- Monitor and document treatment progress, working closely with other healthcare providers to share assessment information and incorporate recreational therapy into treatment plans
- Maintain order and supervise patient conduct to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in recreation or recreation therapy, with supervised field work experience
- Registration as a senior will admit applicants to the examination, but they must produce evidence of graduation or its equivalent and completion of the required field work before being considered eligible for appointment
- Travel is required
