Position Objective:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to engage in a healthcare environment that emphasizes holistic treatment, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Role Summary:
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) collaborates within a team to provide outstanding patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The PCA is responsible for assisting patients with hygiene, daily living activities, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities of the Patient Care Assistant (PCA):
- Respond to patient call lights for assistance or conduct regular rounds.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, oral care, and dressing.
- Transport patients as necessary for medical procedures, transfers, or discharge.
- Maintain a tidy and organized environment in patient rooms.
Employment Type: Part time
Shift: Day Shift
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant or a minimum of 6 months of direct patient care experience, Nurse Technician experience, completion of at least one clinical rotation in nursing school, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to effectively communicate with diverse individuals and groups.
- Demonstrates commitment to the organization's philosophy, values, mission, and vision.
