About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a key member of our transportation team, you will assist Project Managers with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, including highways, bridges, surface drainage, and utilities infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering design support for roadway, hydraulics, hydrology, and civil engineering design projects
  • Perform professional engineering work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria
  • Prepare and produce reports, plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Participate in project aspects from client meetings to design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction
  • Work independently or within a design team, with excellent communication skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of previous design experience on transportation projects, including Schematic Development and Preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience designing highway/roadway systems
  • Proficiency in design software, including MicroStation and GEOPAK, and/or OpenRoads
  • Familiarity with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project)
