About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at Huitt-Zollars. As a key member of our Urban Development Practice Area, you will be responsible for leading projects and providing leadership, guidance, and project management on local Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Function as a Lead Civil Engineer
* Prepare preliminary engineering reports
* Research jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings
* Prepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and schedule
* Prepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and information obtained from research activities
* Coordinate client management and marketing efforts for future work
* Prepare GIS exhibits using ArcGIS
* Conduct site visits and documents findings
* Work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
* Attend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with general project correspondence
* Writes or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documents
* Lead a team of engineers and drafters

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
* Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
* 8-10 years of civil engineering design experience
* Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports
* Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
* Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
* Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clearly and concisely
* Must be able to work directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
* Ability to train staff and review work for quality assurance
