Job Description

We are seeking a talented Graduate Engineer I to join our team. As a Graduate Engineer I, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the development and design of civil infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include drafting and design activities, ensuring conformity with project scope and design standards, and collaborating with the project team on various infrastructure components.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing engineering tasks according to standard techniques and procedures with supervision.
  • Assisting the project team in developing and designing paving, drainage, grading, water, and sanitary sewer infrastructure.
  • Ensuring conformity with the project scope and applicable design standards.
  • Interpreting rough sketches and plan redlines to create and edit plans/drawings.
  • Preparing quantity takeoffs and assisting with cost opinions of design elements.
  • Conducting property and existing utility research as needed.
  • Interacting with staff representatives of jurisdictional agencies to obtain approvals for drawings and specifications during permitting and construction phases.

Requirements include:

  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation software or applicable design software related to the specific area of focus.
  • MS Office and Bluebeam.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in the state of Texas is preferred.
