Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a single site, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our clients and residents.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to maintain high standards of service
  • Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of project and program work
  • Conduct regular tours of the building to assess work quality and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment
  • Act as liaison between building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two years' experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision desired
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in the service area
