KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement all designated student plans and programs with precision across educational settings.
- Maintain a consistent schedule based on assigned hours.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and within specified timeframes, including daily and monthly reports.
- Monitor service delivery in alignment with IEP service levels and district agreements.
- Invoice for services rendered as per the district's contractual obligations.
- Gather and analyze data related to student behavior, objectives, and prescribed interventions.
- Communicate effectively with IEP teams and parents in a clear manner that promotes teamwork.
- Exhibit positive and professional interactions with students, families, and educational teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this position. Typical movements include sitting, walking, running, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, often for extended periods.
The role necessitates the ability to quickly and effectively learn new tasks. Job requirements may frequently change, and the capacity to comprehend and execute detailed instructions is essential. The incumbent must be able to travel to various locations as necessary using self-arranged transportation to fulfill organizational responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position for a 10-month duration, typically commencing in mid-August and concluding in early June. The specific days and hours will be determined collaboratively by Vista leadership, the Outreach calendar, and the school district calendar. Additional workdays and hours may be required during an extended school year (ESY) if indicated by the student's IEP.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma is required (if only possessing a high school diploma, the PA Instructional Aide test must be completed and passed).
- Successful completion of Vista's crisis intervention training is mandatory.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education experience working with children on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in a human services or education-related field is highly desirable.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Prior experience or knowledge in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services to individuals with Autism is highly preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Basic proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications is preferred.
