Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects, installation, and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components to ensure a safe and comfortable operating environment. This includes identifying current and future instrumentation/control requirements, supervising contractors, training employees, and prioritizing and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of control equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with management, engineering, production personnel, and technicians to identify current and future instrumentation/control requirements.
- Supervise contractors for complex assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Train employees on maintenance, construction, and repair of instruments/analyzers and electrical equipment.
- Prioritize and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of control equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Review new product plans and coordinate activities with other facility crafts to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Support Operations and Maintenance departments by providing technical expertise and assistance as needed.
- Troubleshoot analyzers and perform calibrations of pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters and switches to ensure accurate measurements.
- Conduct DCS/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Use trends to diagnose operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Respond to power outages and ensure timely restoration of electrical services.
- Run conduit and tubing as needed to support installation and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to company values and support its vision and mission by demonstrating a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain low and medium voltage equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Be available 24/7 for emergencies and provide timely support to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team and the company.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant electrical/instrumentation maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and provide technical expertise.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with differing priorities and deadlines to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
- Degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
