Job Summary:

As an Electrical Systems Specialist at Prysmian Group, you will be responsible for locating and diagnosing electrical and electronic malfunctions using test instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, PLC programmers, and PCs. Your primary duties will include analyzing complex plans and requirements, working from drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, or general descriptions of what is wanted or needed, and planning your own methods to overcome unusual difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular and predictable attendance throughout the shift is an essential function of this position.
  • Ability to analyze complex plans and requirements.
  • Ability to work from drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, or general description of what is wanted/needed.
  • Ability to plan own methods, anticipate problems involved and determine the best approach to overcome unusual difficulties.

Requirements:
  • 2-year associate degree or equivalent in electronics technology.
  • Knowledge of theory and application on N.E.C., advanced math, complicated electronic diagrams.
  • PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens), A.C. drives, DC drives, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electrical/electronic equipment/systems.
  • Ability to utilize Maximo, SAP, micrometers, calipers, voltmeters, etc.
  • Hazardous Training.

Education and Experience:
  • High School/GED Diploma.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas.
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas.
  • Wear supplied uniforms.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand 8 hours on concrete floors.
  • Ability to bend/stoop to floor level for extensive periods of time.
