This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring that products are well-stocked in a clean and secure environment, readily available for purchase.
The Retail Operations Manager will oversee product sales, manage the cash register, process payments, and provide change to customers.
Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the store, completing necessary documentation, reviewing security footage as per guidelines, training team members, making bank deposits, and receiving product shipments.
The Retail Operations Manager collaborates closely with category managers to guarantee an optimal product assortment for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize product knowledge, promotional strategies, and operational procedures to inform customers, identify sales opportunities, and resolve any issues.
- Deliver quick, friendly, accurate, and safe service while operating the cash register, scanning items, bagging merchandise, and processing transactions.
- Ensure a pleasant shopping atmosphere by maintaining cleanliness within the store.
- Manage product inventory, ensuring items are ordered, counted, and displayed according to established guidelines, while conducting monthly compliance checks.
- Complete all necessary steps and documentation to receive product deliveries, ensuring merchandise is accessible to customers.
- Address service tickets as needed to resolve store-related issues.
- Perform all tasks required to prepare and open the store each morning.
- Execute all tasks necessary to close the store in the evening.
- Train new cashiers on their daily responsibilities.
- Conduct bank deposits as required.
- Complete daily and monthly paperwork.
- Review daily video footage for compliance.
- Maintain and repair store equipment or ensure that maintenance is performed.
- Foster a safe working and shopping environment, following up on any incidents involving customers or employees.
- Participate in the hiring process for prospective employees.
- Administer write-offs within established limits.
- Conduct store visits, address customer and vendor issues, and manage service tickets. Additionally, the Retail Operations Manager will create weekly schedules and submit payroll.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or a minimum of one year of continuous experience in retail management is required. The candidate must be capable of repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and should be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
