Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Medication Administration Specialist at our esteemed senior living community. This position is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive their medications safely and effectively, adhering to all state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the medication administration process, ensuring compliance with physician's orders and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Resident Assistants to coordinate care and services for residents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident health records.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals to discuss resident medication plans and adjustments.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility support.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls from residents.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or LPN certification is preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience in a similar healthcare setting is advantageous.
  • CNA certification is preferred, depending on state requirements.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Med Tech certifications are necessary.
