Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of incoming components, including but not limited to: resins, dyes, inks, and various chemical products.
  • Facilitate the movement of inspected inventory to designated storage locations, with forklift operation experience considered a plus.
  • Provide critical feedback to manufacturing teams regarding product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to investigate quality-related issues concerning purchased items.
  • Maintain accurate records in both paper and electronic formats, including inspection reports and calibration logs.
  • Regular attendance is essential for this role.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update receiving inspection instructions as necessary.
  • Support the implementation of the Statistical Process Control (SPC) inspection module within the ERP system for purchased components.
  • Assist in creating data packages and evaluating non-conforming products.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections, Capability Studies, and Gage R&R Studies, providing reports as needed.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes and products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with QA equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance is preferred.
  • Experience in plastics is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Engage in various physical activities including climbing, balancing, and lifting.
  • Visual acuity is required for operating equipment and assessing work quality.
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions is expected.
