Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of incoming components, including but not limited to: resins, dyes, inks, and various chemical products.
- Facilitate the movement of inspected inventory to designated storage locations, with forklift operation experience considered a plus.
- Provide critical feedback to manufacturing teams regarding product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to investigate quality-related issues concerning purchased items.
- Maintain accurate records in both paper and electronic formats, including inspection reports and calibration logs.
- Regular attendance is essential for this role.
- Develop and update receiving inspection instructions as necessary.
- Support the implementation of the Statistical Process Control (SPC) inspection module within the ERP system for purchased components.
- Assist in creating data packages and evaluating non-conforming products.
- Conduct First Article Inspections, Capability Studies, and Gage R&R Studies, providing reports as needed.
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes and products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with QA equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance is preferred.
- Experience in plastics is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Previous experience in the medical device industry.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Engage in various physical activities including climbing, balancing, and lifting.
- Visual acuity is required for operating equipment and assessing work quality.
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions is expected.
