Job Summary:
MICHIGAN ORTHOPEDIC CENTER PC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and following up on Accounts Receivable accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the full revenue cycle and accurately follow up on Accounts Receivable accounts.
- Correspond with providers and insurance companies to resolve issues and ensure accurate reimbursement and payments.
- Escalate coding/documentation problems to the coding team for review and resolution.
- Review and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging Reports to identify and resolve unpaid claims with payors and patients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in medical accounts receivable, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
- Strong knowledge of EOBs and ability to make adjustments as needed.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Three years minimum recent experience in medical accounts receivable.
