Human Resources Coordinator Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Servpro - Restoration Personnel, Inc. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, based on location and experience.
Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, managing employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, handling inquiries from employees, maintaining compliance with HR policies, and coordinating various HR functions.
- Responsibilities:
- Support and foster a team culture that follows the company mission, vision, and values, contributing to a positive working environment.
- Operate in a non-biased, neutral, and confidential manner when supporting the coordination of sensitive issues in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources and management.
- Support local management by scheduling and coordinating interviews with selected candidates.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including introductions to the team, providing new hire packets and resources, introducing company policies and practices, and ensuring office space and equipment is prepared and ready.
- Ensure employees are provided with proper uniforms upon hire and annually as needed.
- Order business cards for new hires as appropriate based on position.
- Maintain personnel documentation through local filing systems and the company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to include certifications, incident reports, illness and injury excuses, assigned assets, and performance-related documentation.
- Ensure probationary and annual reviews are completed, documented, and filed in a timely manner.
- Conduct 30-day check-ins with new employees and exit interviews with departing employees as appropriate and provide feedback to the Director of Human Resources.
- Ensure bi-weekly timecards are submitted and approved for bi-weekly payroll; serve as backup for time off approvals if manager is unavailable.
- Coordinate the submission of all workplace injury, incidents, wage garnishments, and unemployment claims to the Director of Human Resources.
- Coordinate medical services and drug/alcohol screenings for workplace injuries, post-accident screenings, and random quarterly drug screens.
- Provide information to employees about offered benefits and coordinate enrollment upon hire and annually thereafter with the local franchise.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Engage in ongoing training and development related to human resource best practices.
- Attend and participate in local job fairs and recruiting outreach opportunities as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
