Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrical Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on vessels, facilities, and shipyard infrastructure.

  • Electrical System Expertise: You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing 3-phase power generation systems, including voltage regulation, synchronization, and load share equipment.
  • Installation and Wiring: Your duties will encompass the installation of wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. This includes working with conduit, brackets, screws, wires, terminals, connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.
  • Motor and Control Systems: You will diagnose and repair 3-phase motors, motor controllers, and power distribution panels.
  • Electronic Equipment Integration: You will connect power supply circuits to various electronic equipment, such as radios, radar systems, steering systems, variable frequency drives, and more.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: You will utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators to test electrical characteristics like voltage, resistance, and phase angle in circuits.
  • Panel Construction: You may be involved in constructing instrument panels using hand tools, rulers, dividers, and power drills according to specifications.
