Email Marketing Specialist Job Description

Aquent's leading entertainment client is seeking a skilled Email Marketing Specialist to drive engagement and retention of streaming subscribers. This role will empower the marketing and partner teams to unleash growth velocity by managing marketing channels and optimizing user touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project manage and execute email, push, and In-App engagement channel messages to ensure flawless delivery.
  • Assist in building, testing, and delivering lifecycle marketing campaign messages to drive content engagement from subscribers.
  • Implement messaging optimization and best practice adoption to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Run split and multivariate tests to minimize bias and ensure test protocols are administered correctly.
  • Create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables and resources, coordinate work streams, and dependencies.
  • Track and communicate message campaigns' progress, utilizing targeting capabilities while balancing against business goals, and identify obstacles to ensure they're addressed.
  • Drive messaging reporting and run ad-hoc analysis when requested.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaigns across personalization, dynamic content management, etc.
  • Implement and audit all analytic encoding to enable messaging effectiveness.
  • Ensure all messages conform to GDPR and other legal or compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, product management, program management, or a directly relevant field, executing CRM/Lifecycle channel marketing campaigns with insights and optimization tactics for email, push, SMS, and in-app.
  • Proficiency in building HTML emails from asset files, making message template adjustments, and articulating complex needs to developers; ability to troubleshoot simple HTML errors.
  • A/B and multivariate test design, execution, and administration of message experimentation best practices.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues and implement remedies, inclusive of conveying complex concepts in simplified terms.
  • Experience supporting a globally/multi-country distributed stakeholder team.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, highly methodical, and strong team player with superior communication and copywriting skills, and a drive to exceed user expectations and enable partner marketing teams.
  • Ability to multitask and handle simultaneous projects, with exceptional problem-solving skills and composure under stress.
  • Superior stakeholder partnership management via a consultative approach.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies – Jira/Confluence, as well as email and mobile channel best practices.
  • Ability to be on-call when high-priority business needs necessitate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an operational role.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Template scripting (e.g., AMPscript, Liquid).
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and working knowledge of Jira/Confluence.
  • Proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, and/or other lifecycle marketing platforms, ideally certified in one main platform.
  • Experience in building lifecycle user journeys.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, Computer Science.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.87 to $55.41 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
