About the Opportunity

Sail is seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Twin Cities. As a critical member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our multifamily apartment buildings.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to resolve maintenance issues and improve our properties.

We are looking for a professional who is able to work independently, think critically, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the overall condition and safety of our properties.
  • Repair and replace equipment, fixtures, and appliances as needed.
  • Clean and paint units during turnover processes.
  • Adjust doors and perform other necessary tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of our properties.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, property managers, and office staff to address concerns and resolve issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergency calls outside of regular business hours.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of related experience in maintenance, preferably in a multifamily setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Yardi software is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
