Job Title: Assistant Site Quality Manager

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Quality Manager to join our team. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily activities of the quality control program, including coordinating with project managers and site managers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Attend project pre-construction meetings to discuss the quality management system and review lessons learned.
  • Train team members in the use of the quality control program and provide support for question resolution.
  • Perform administrative setup of projects within the quality program database and assist in the support and maintenance of the database program.
  • Ensure the quality program provides a fair and effective monitoring of the overall quality of the organization.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure that quality controls are in place and report findings to the project team.
  • Perform quality control inspections of installations as they are being put in place to ensure strict compliance and coordination with the contract.
  • Inspect products, materials, and equipment as they arrive at the jobsite to ensure compliance with the contract documents and approved specifications.
  • Ensure manufacturer, fabricator, and installer qualifications are current and applicable based on the contract.
  • Coordinate required sampling of work in a timely manner with sufficient time for testing and analyzing results to prevent delaying project timelines.
  • Coordinate and maintain jobsite test and inspection plans and subsequent logs, ensuring all documentation is current, including any changes to the work or design.
  • Create and maintain an approved Project Specific Quality Control Plan.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and a minimum of three years of construction experience, or a minimum of five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector is highly desired.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The selected candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills and will be required to travel up to 100% of the time.

This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside of the U.S. The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA, but would be required to travel to the project site per Gray's travel policy.
