CATERING SUPERVISOR (FULL-TIME)

We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time CATERING SUPERVISOR to join our team.

Job Location: Various locations within our healthcare facilities.

Work Schedule: Shifts will vary, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Experience Required: Previous experience in catering is highly desirable.

Position Overview:

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the schedules of catering staff to ensure timely delivery, service, and cleanup of all catering functions. This role involves preparing and serving food at scheduled events under the guidance of the Catering Director. The supervisor may also be required to drive a vehicle to transport food and beverages to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess workload requirements based on catering orders.
  • Engage with event leaders to discuss setup needs and address any last-minute changes or issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients and resolving any complaints.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of menu items to effectively communicate with guests.
  • Guide staff on their responsibilities for catered events.
  • Assist in setting up venues according to specifications.
  • Deliver food and supplies to designated locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to attendees.
  • Return leftover food, beverages, and equipment to the catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of food temperatures in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and supplies.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A valid driver's license may be necessary. Candidates must be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by state regulations.
