Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Greenlife Healthcare Staffing. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients in the emergency department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the emergency department.
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes.
- Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems.
- Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses.
- Care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures.
- Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation.
- Insert and maintain peripheral lines.
- Maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid.
- Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies.
- Phlebotomy and bedside testing.
- On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager.
- Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters.
- Initiates patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge.
- Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers.
- May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19.
- Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred.
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered.
