Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at LimnTech Scientific. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for assembling and testing mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete systems based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mechanical Assembly
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete systems based on detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to fit, align, and secure components.
- Wiring and Electrical Assembly
- Install and connect wiring harnesses, sensors, and electrical components.
- Test electrical connections to ensure functionality and troubleshoot basic electrical issues as needed.
- Hydraulics
- Assemble and connect hydraulic systems, including hoses, pumps, valves, and fittings.
- Test hydraulic components for proper operation, identifying and resolving any leaks or performance issues.
- Quality Control
- Inspect parts and assemblies during and after production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and report defects or discrepancies to the Manufacturing Director.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including time, materials, and completed tasks.
- Provide feedback to improve assembly procedures and system designs.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
- Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be familiar with mechanical assembly, wiring, or hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments is also essential. A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are required for this role.
