Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop CNC Programs and manufacturing processes for new and legacy 5 axis, mill-turn, and/or Swiss lathe parts. Utilize best programming practices to create efficient and reliable CNC programs Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings for custom tooling, work holding, and fixtures using SolidWorks or similar. Program parts and fixtures using CAM software using Fusion360 Use machine simulation software to ensure collision free code. Aid in quoting new work, including design for manufacturability feedback to customers. Set up and run CNC mills and lathes as needed to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts. Communicate and resolve issues with machinists. Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas on new and legacy parts. Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Experience with GD&T and knowledge of complex inspection techniques is required (CMM, Vision System, etc.) Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail-Oriented. Reliable and dependable. Positive internal and customer focused attitude. Must enjoy fast pace and rapidly changing environment. Strong ability to organize, prioritize and execute. Champion projects to ensure meeting customer delivery. On-the-job training and growth will be provided for the motivated applicant.
