Job Description

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Elevator Mechanic to join our team. As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for participating in the proper inspections, repair work, and new installations assigned to you. You will follow instructions from the supervisor to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with managers, supervisors, and other staff to execute assigned work.
  • Be available for overtime as projects require.
  • Maintain tools and safety equipment through daily inspections.
  • Participate in safety trainings as directed.
  • Set up and operate various powered and non-powered hand tools required to perform tasks.
  • Assist in performing load tests, required inspections, and troubleshooting techniques according to current ASME code.
  • Anticipate the next task to keep projects moving.
  • Work with different supervisors and staff according to project needs.
  • Perform housekeeping duties for project sites.
  • Keep tools organized on trucks.
  • Climb and work safely at heights of 200 feet.
  • Lift up to 70 lbs. and handle, move, carry, push, pull, lift, and lower tools, materials, equipment, and structures.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is desired. The candidate must have a desire to learn new processes and continue training in the given trade to develop skills.

Competencies and Experience:

  • OSHA 10 Hour-Construction certification.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Willingness and desire to learn the trade.
