Job Summary

VetJobs is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the effective diagnosis and repair of engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.
  • Perform daily duties, including customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, making repairs, and acting as an ambassador of the company.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, responding to after-hour calls and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
  • 4 to 6 years of diesel mechanic experience in a shop or in the field.
  • Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of John Deere equipment.
  • Must own and maintain their own tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls.
  • Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of John Deere experience.
