Graphic and Multimedia Designer Job Description

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Graphic and Multimedia Designer to join our Marketing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and executing visual and digital aspects of marketing materials, website, and other media to promote philanthropy and impactful grantmaking for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement visual and electronic aspects of marketing and communication design projects, including newsletters, annual reports, advertisements, brochures, donor materials, e-communications, videos, social media, website, and event materials.
  • Elevate stories about donors and nonprofits in our community through compelling print design, social media graphics, photography, and video production.
  • Oversee and implement the Community Foundation brand, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Manage website design and content updates, ensuring a user-friendly and engaging experience for our audience.
  • Develop and execute content plans and strategies on social media channels, engaging with our audience and promoting our mission.
  • Collaborate with team members to share ideas and digital knowledge, enhancing our collective expertise and creativity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional visual graphic design skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to create engaging and effective designs.
  • Experience with video creation and editing, using software such as Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe products, including WordPress, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, and HTML code.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and emerging trends in content and engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for problem-solving and technology.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $50,000 - $58,000, depending on experience.
