Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Airgas. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing highway delivery equipment, including hydraulic pumping and product transfer pumps, as well as troubleshooting and repairing diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades
  • Read and interpret equipment condition reports and repair orders
  • Communicate with supervisors and operators to clarify problems and discuss preventive techniques
  • Promote safety of all employees as a top priority
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in highway equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver's license (regular)
  • Class A CDL preferred but not required
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools and equipment
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school classes preferred
  • Basic knowledge of transportation regulations
  • Class A CDL with HazMat; DOT brake certification preferred
