About the Role:

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and construction of the City's water distribution and sewer collection systems. This includes cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining the Sanitary Sewer and Storm Drain Systems, operating Sewer jets, and assisting with other maintenance and repairs of the water, sewer, and storm drain systems.

The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain systems, as well as the ability to read and understand utility maps and as-builds. You will also be responsible for responding to emergency calls after normal work hours and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and the general public.

We offer a competitive salary range of $46,571.20 - $51,376.00 Annually, along with comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement/pensions, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains the Sanitary Sewer and Storm Drain Systems to ensure proper flow.
  • Operates Sewer jets to clean sanitary sewer and storm drain systems of waste materials for proper flow.
  • Assists in other maintenance and repairs of the water, sewer, and storm drain systems, including driving dump truck.
  • Responds to emergency calls after normal work hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in sanitary sewer and storm drain maintenance.
