Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide high-quality care to our members, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapies to members with a range of mental health needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of member interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to Kaiser Permanente's standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, research, and industry developments in mental health.
  • Leadership and Supervision: May supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in mental health services, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and/or children.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-Licensure Experience: Previous experience working as a mental health professional, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Specialized Training: Training in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and evidence-based practices.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on quality patient care and excellent customer service.
