Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Programmer to join our team at Louisiana Technology Group Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Web Dynpro for ABAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, code, and test solutions using ABAP
  • Respond to computer system emergencies and resolve problems independently or in consultation with other IT staff or end-user personnel
  • Research and resolve highly technical program, machine, data, or system software problems
  • Provide expert advice, assistance, or guidance on specialized application tools, hardware, software, or databases
  • Provide training to IT staff on databases, tools, techniques, and procedures relevant to applications maintenance and development
  • Research new developments in hardware and software and stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and methods
  • Implement complex in-house and vendor-supplied applications software
  • Evaluate, analyze, and prepare information and recommendations on technical solutions or options related to operating and managing an information system
  • Define data elements, design structures for databases, and write and compile definitions and descriptions of data elements into dictionary form
  • Evaluate and analyze requests for enhancements or development projects of a highly complex nature
  • Prepare and supervise formal system test procedures of highly complex application systems
  • Prepare and monitor work plans and schedules to ensure timeliness, data integrity, and availability on a project basis
Requirements
  • Ten (10) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Web Dynpro for ABAP
  • Expertise and/or relevant experience in SAP Web IDE, SAP Fiori 23, SAP UI5, JAVA/JavaScript, SAP Adobe Lifecycle Designer, and SAP Workflow are desirable but not mandatory
Location

Our office is located in the Claiborne Building, Office of Technology Services, 1201 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
