The Louisiana Technology Group Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Programmer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Application Programmer with expertise in SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Web Dynpro for ABAP. The successful candidate will design, code, and test complex applications programs, provide expert advice and guidance, and train IT applications staff on databases, tools, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and test solutions using ABAP and Web Dynpro for ABAP
  • Respond to computer system emergencies and resolve problems independently or in consultation with other IT staff
  • Research and resolve highly technical program, machine, data, or system software problems
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on specialized application tools, hardware, software, or databases
  • Train IT applications staff on databases, tools, and procedures
  • Research new developments in hardware and software and stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and methods
  • Implement complex in-house and vendor-supplied applications software
  • Evaluate and analyze technical solutions or options related to operating and managing an information system
  • Define data elements, design database structures, and write user guides and documentation
  • Evaluate and analyze requests for enhancements or development projects of a highly complex nature
  • Prepare and supervise formal system test procedures of highly complex application systems

Requirements:

  • Ten (10) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in SAP ABAP and Web Dynpro for ABAP
  • Expertise and/or relevant experience in SAP Web IDE, SAP Fiori 23, SAP UI5, JAVA/JavaScript, SAP Adobe Lifecycle Designer, and SAP Workflow are desirable but not mandatory

The successful candidate will be based in the Claiborne Building, Office of Technology Services, 1201 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
