Job Overview

Adams Power is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our electrical services team, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical systems in various settings, including commercial and industrial, residential, solar, and home backup generator installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, fire alarms, and data communication.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty or damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Follow all established safety policies and procedures and report any hazards or injuries to the supervisor.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers.
  • Keep current on the latest developments and innovations in the electrical field.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician
  • OSHA 10 Construction Completed
Work Environment

The schedule for this role is primarily Monday to Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients.

This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and/or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces. You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig/trench outside in inclement weather as needed for projects. All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards.
