The Facilities Maintenance Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive maintenance operations to ensure the successful attainment of production goals while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adhering to the company's quality benchmarks and customer delivery expectations. This position involves executing a range of maintenance, repair, and continuous enhancement tasks on plant machinery and equipment with minimal supervision, requiring a high level of self-sufficiency.



Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise personnel engaged in the operation and upkeep of equipment and facilities. Establish work priorities and organize repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment.

· Diagnose and repair CNC lathes, mills, hobbing machines, saws, and other production equipment.

· Manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet production demands. Review completed work for compliance with specifications and standards.

· Ensure adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

· Design and implement tooling and fixtures as necessary.

· Order tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance activities.

· Develop or modify standard operating procedures and monitor compliance among team members.

· Adjust maintenance workflows to align with production timelines.

· Maintain accurate records of time and production.

· Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize departmental activities.

· Participate in the hands-on activities of the team.

· Foster a collaborative team environment; recruit, mentor, and develop new team members.

· Initiate and ensure compliance with operational and personnel policies and procedures.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Strong multitasking and troubleshooting abilities.

· Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, CNC machining, assembly processes, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

· Proficient in CNC and mechanical diagnostics and repair, as well as electrical and mechanical trades.

· Ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and manuals for mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

· Basic fabrication skills relevant to machine repair.

· Competence in using electrical testing equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.

· Hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, PLC controls, and computerized components of CNC and manual machinery.

· Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and interpretation.

· Welding skills and experience with cutting torches.

· Capability to perform light fabrication tasks.

· Understanding of ladder logic.

· Experience in CNC programming and operation.



Education and Experience:

· Minimum of five years of experience in machine installation, maintenance, and repair. An associate degree in machine maintenance and repair or equivalent experience is preferred.

· Post-secondary education or training in electronics is advantageous.

· Additional training in welding and fabrication is a plus.

· Knowledge of Fanuc controls and Haas systems is desirable.

· Extensive experience in electrical troubleshooting is required.

· Certification as an electrician is a plus.

· Previous experience with paper machines, CNCs, printing presses, or other manufacturing equipment is beneficial.

· Proficiency in Windows operating systems.

· Basic welding knowledge is advantageous.

· Forklift operating certification is a plus.



Licenses and Certifications:

· A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
