About the Role

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on the Salem Health - West Valley Hospital Rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in patient care and interaction. You will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to plan and implement occupational therapy services to patients in collaboration with physicians and supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement occupational therapy services to patients in collaboration with physicians and supervisory staff.
  • Utilize equipment for intervention specific to the area(s) of assignment.
  • Coordinate patient care as a member of a rehabilitation team as required in area(s) of assignment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an occupational therapist assistant training program approved by the Committee on Accreditation in Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Oregon Certified Occupational Therapy - License must be verified prior to start.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Within 90 days of hire required.
