Job Overview

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decarbonization Subject Matter Expert - Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership on decarbonization projects, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-performance and sustainable solutions.



Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on decarbonization projects, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver decarbonization projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to promote Dewberry's expertise and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on decarbonization and sustainability.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-performance and sustainable solutions on decarbonization projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon reduction strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

The projected range for this position is $157,000-$213,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
