Position Overview

The Travel Nurse RN plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients across various settings. This position involves working collaboratively with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory upon hiring and must be maintained.
  • PALS certification is required within six months of employment.
  • Telemetry certification is expected within one month of hire.
Job Responsibilities
  • Initiate patient care based on the established treatment plan and nursing standards.
  • Focus on enhancing the overall health of patients by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and guide team members in delivering coordinated care.
  • Manage care resources responsibly to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to resolve issues effectively.
  • Be attentive to the diverse needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • A valid California State License as a Registered Nurse is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) is preferred.
  • At least one year of recent ICU experience is preferred, although NIHD's critical care training program may substitute for this requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential for prioritizing tasks and developing nursing care plans.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Word, is necessary.
  • Ability to learn and utilize software programs relevant to patient care and operational processes.
Schedule Information

Shifts are structured as 3x12s.

Patient Population

The role involves caring for a diverse age range of patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Direct patient contact may vary.
