Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, healthcare systems, and EHR, with experience in managing large-scale projects and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end project management of EHR implementation and optimization projects
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, revenue, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data security standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve issues as they arise
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Oversee the training and support of end-users during the EHR implementation process
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Systems, Project Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management
  • Seven years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management
  • OR
  • Associates degree in information technology or related field and nine years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management
  • OR
  • Eleven years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in the information technology business analysis or project management
  • AND
  • Concurrent of five years of experience as a project specialist with large technology projects, with specific expertise in clinical EHR implementations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Awareness of information technology environments, e.g., cloud, virtual, physical infrastructure, enterprise application development/implementation, software systems
  • Experience working in acute and ambulatory settings
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and tools such as Confluence and Jira
