Job Summary

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in creating a therapeutic environment that promotes socialization, coping skills, and stress management for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct medically approved recreation programs for hospital patients.
  • Develop and implement leisure activity programs that cater to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to promote socialization and coping skills.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with CTRS certification.
  • Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diplomacy and discretion are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
