Recreation Therapist Job Description

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing medically approved recreation programs for hospital patients. Your goal will be to assist patients in developing interpersonal relationships, socializing effectively, and developing coping skills and stress management techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification. Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
