Job Summary
Arrowhead Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in creating a therapeutic environment that promotes socialization, coping skills, and stress management for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct medically approved recreation programs for hospital patients.
- Develop and implement leisure activity programs that cater to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust programs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient participation and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with CTRS certification.
- Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Diplomacy and discretion are essential.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Professional demeanor and appearance required.
