Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of assembly crew members, providing training, coaching, and guidance to ensure they have the necessary resources to complete tasks.
  • Review work orders to ensure the team has all necessary materials, hardware, and components to complete tasks.
  • Collaborate with other department leads to avoid shortages and ensure production meets required schedules.
  • Manage crew PTO/Sick time and ensure enough manpower in the department.
  • Coordinate with other department leads and production manager to ensure production meets required schedules.
  • Schedule adherence and communication of any schedule changes to internal teams, including Project Management and Sales.
  • Accountable for continuously improving procedures, processes, and methods in the work team to ensure safety and quality.
  • Maintain work area, parts inventory, and materials to prevent production delays.
  • Act as a floater/resource to backfill production team members when required.
Requirements
  • Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to operate computers.
  • Willing to take a background and drug test.
  • Licensed Forklift Operator preferred.
  • Crating and packaging skills.
  • UPS and FedEx tracking knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Infor Visual or Acumatica experience a plus.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and Google products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to check engineering drawings.
  • Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
