Senior Project Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding Senior Project Manager position located in Jackson, MS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive project business plan, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with field management to create a project-specific safety plan, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Engineer and Architect, facilitating effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements.
  • Create a staging, logistics, and phasing plan for the project, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project timelines.
  • Lead the coordination of subcontractors, ensuring timely and high-quality work.
  • Establish bonding and/or Subguard, change order log, and cost tracking for the project, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Set up project in E1 and Prolog software, ensuring seamless data management and reporting.
  • Responsible for project startup, including obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and managing jobsite mobilization.
  • Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup meetings, ensuring a smooth project launch.
  • Issue and administer subcontracts (payments, insurance, bond, safety, haz-com, etc.) and purchase orders for multiple trades, maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in developing, planning, and updating the overall project schedule, ensuring timely completion and resource optimization.
  • Attend/direct regular job scheduling meetings, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Lead responsibility for project quality control plan implementation and compliance, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct bi-weekly safety surveys with project superintendent, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Prioritize, review, and expedite submittals, ensuring timely and accurate project documentation.
  • Expedite material deliveries according to project schedule requirements, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Understand quantity updating and work with Superintendents to maintain accurate labor forecasts, ensuring project timelines and resource optimization.
  • Develop and administer subcontractor and purchase order change orders, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Review projections, labor reports, safety documents, and schedules on a monthly basis, ensuring project performance and compliance.
  • Review and approve material/equipment invoices according to project budget, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare payment requests and monitor collections, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Meet with city and state agencies to review project and inspections, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Attend OAC progress meetings and create monthly status reports, maintaining effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI's), ensuring seamless data management and reporting.
  • Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting), ensuring accurate and timely project closure.
  • Mentor and train assistant project managers and co-op/intern students, ensuring knowledge transfer and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of construction experience.
  • Able to perform Assistant Project Manager duties proficiently.
  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting systems.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
