Position Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with Interoceanic as a **Maintenance Operations Supervisor**. In this capacity, you will oversee the daily operations of maintenance activities, project implementations, and plant turnarounds. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively plan, estimate, and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure their timely and efficient execution. Candidates with over 6 years of experience in sectors such as Refining, Petrochemical, or Chemical Processing, along with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, are encouraged to consider this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the execution of daily maintenance tasks, project initiatives, and plant turnarounds through strategic planning, accurate estimating, and effective scheduling.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, ensuring that all files and records are up-to-date and compliant with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.
  • Assist in the development of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) routines, monitor maintenance metrics, and manage inventory levels in the storeroom.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant maintenance experience in applicable industries.
  • Proven experience in supervising hourly staff and coordinating maintenance operations efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental regulations, and adherence to all operational procedures and specifications.
Organizational Structure

**Reports to:** Maintenance Manager

**Supervises:** Hourly employees (Instrument/Electrical Technicians)

**Collaborates with:** Maintenance Craftsmen, Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to safety and environmental initiatives within the organization.
  2. Communicate effectively with management to address scheduling and priority conflicts.
  3. Conduct facility analyses, perform root cause investigations, and prepare maintenance monitoring procedures.
  4. Act as a consultant to Operations and Maintenance regarding equipment-related issues.
  5. Ensure that maintenance work orders are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  6. Organize daily maintenance activities and initiate requisitions for necessary materials.
  7. Collaborate with departmental supervision for optimal scheduling and resource allocation.
  8. Train and mentor hourly employees to foster a high-performance culture.
  9. Manage employee relations and conduct investigations into incidents as necessary.
  10. Identify challenges and implement reliability programs aimed at reducing downtime and costs.
  11. Develop maintenance and safety procedures while managing the departmental budget.

Work Environment

This position involves a combination of office duties and fieldwork in processing areas. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and the role may involve working in confined spaces and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
