Quality Assurance Supervisor

Darigold is seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Rainier team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer corporate policies and procedures related to quality and food safety
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support for the implementation of quality systems and processes
  • Supervise laboratory functions and operations, including analytical testing and support for in-process and finished product analysis
  • Train and review methodologies, SOPs, performance, and techniques of hourly employees
  • Implement and conduct routine laboratory calibrations of instruments to ensure accuracy and repeatability of test results
  • Monitor CIP systems and documentation to ensure proper cleaning and validate records and compliance to established parameters
  • Perform routine sanitation inspection and verify efficacy with associated equipment through visual inspection and microbiological testing
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems in a positive and proactive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be goal-oriented and result-driven
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in dairy or food quality assurance, with a preference for those with a B.S. degree in food/dairy science/microbiology or an associated discipline
  • Experience in food plant sanitation
  • HACCP and/or PCQI certification would be a plus
