About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing specialty programs, providing expert care to patients, and mentoring peers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement specialty programs, including marketing and outreach to physicians, providers, and the community.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, provide formal and informal in-services, and educate staff and the community on best practices.
  • Assess and track patient outcomes, develop plans based on clinical outcomes and metrics, and mentor peers.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients, including patient evaluation, development of care plans, administration of therapeutic interventions, and documentation of clinical care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2000 hours of clinical practice in the specialty area, with 25% occurring in the last 3 years.
  • BA or BS in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.
  • Post-professional certification/specialization in the area of specialty, supported by National Board Exam or successful completion of Fellowship/Residency in the area of specialization.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and mentorship experience.
  • NH License Physical Therapist and AHA or ARC BLS within 2 weeks of hire.
