JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Wellness Advisor at Sunnyside will play a pivotal role in guiding customers—whether recreational users, medical patients, or caregivers—in selecting the appropriate cannabis products tailored to their needs. Acting as a representative of our mission to normalize and elevate the cannabis industry, you will exemplify outstanding customer service, product expertise, and compliance with state regulations to deliver an exceptional experience. Additionally, Lead Wellness Advisors will support the onboarding and training of new staff while ensuring adherence to both state and company guidelines.

CORE JOB DUTIES
  • Assist Wellness Advisors in customer consultations, addressing standard inquiries or concerns.
  • Guide customers in product selection by educating them on various cannabis products and their effects.
  • Utilize effective selling and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
  • Verify customer documentation and identification.
  • Ensure accuracy in orders dispensed to customers promptly; conduct bag and receipt checks.
  • Label and package customer orders appropriately.
  • Execute accurate cash handling within the company's Point of Sale system, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Investigate any discrepancies related to cash, POS, or products, escalating as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues within the POS system.
  • Maintain precise records of all dispensary activities, including customer records, sales, deliveries, and returns, in compliance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts of all products.
  • Ensure product stock is organized and compliant with regulations.
  • Assist management in organizing sales floor merchandise and product displays.
  • Implement security measures and safety compliance within the store as per company SOPs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for both customers and team members.
  • Support the onboarding and training of Wellness Advisors, ensuring compliance with all company policies and state laws.
  • Timely escalate any employee relations issues to management.
  • Perform essential store opening and closing procedures, including preparing registers and managing inventory.
  • Complete shift checklists diligently.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service; cannabis experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work shifts that may include opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • Proven ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a consultative manner.
  • Ability to understand cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and balancing up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
