As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Surgical Services department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position involves a full-time schedule with shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, including on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical supplies and patient areas.
- Assist patients with mobility and personal care, promoting comfort and safety.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the registered nurse.
- Administer medications as directed by the supervising registered nurse, adhering to safety protocols.
- Engage in recreational activities with patients to enhance their well-being.
