Position Overview:
The DePaul Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Nutritional Support Specialist to join our team in a dynamic assisted living environment. This role involves working a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our residents.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $16.30 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with food preparation and sanitation protocols in a safe setting.
- Prepare and serve meals according to the dietary requirements set by healthcare professionals, following the daily menu.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Dietary Services Director.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Capable of visually monitoring residents and responding to their verbal needs.
- Physical ability to assist residents, including bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods.
- Competent in the use of kitchen equipment.
- Prepared to handle emergencies, such as resident choking or evacuation procedures.

Preferred Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Two years of experience in the food service sector is advantageous.
- Must comply with annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing and health assessments.
- Familiarity with sanitary food preparation standards is essential.
- Required to provide references and undergo a criminal background check.

Work Environment:
- The position is based in a well-lit, climate-controlled setting, with potential exposure to residents with communicable diseases or those exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Occasional outdoor work may be required during resident events.
- Appropriate protective gear must be worn when handling cleaning chemicals or broken glass.
