Job Overview:

This role is pivotal in orchestrating and scheduling all maintenance activities, aimed at enhancing workforce efficiency and the quality of work. By proactively identifying potential delays and challenges, this position ensures seamless planning and coordination of resources, equipment downtime, and personnel.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to established safety protocols while striving for a culture of zero accidents.
  • Equip team members with the necessary tools and training to perform their duties safely.
  • Recognize near misses and implement suitable corrective measures.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the maintenance team and various operational departments.
  • Guarantee that operational areas receive timely, efficient, and high-quality maintenance services.
  • Manage the receipt and processing of all maintenance work orders.
  • Prioritize safety considerations in all planning activities.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance supervisors to schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Review and validate work requests to ensure proper completion.
  • Engage with originating departments to discuss work specifics as necessary.
  • Assess the necessity and appropriateness of requested maintenance work.
  • Consult with engineering and management on work orders requiring design input.
  • Analyze tasks to determine the most effective execution methods.
  • Gather blueprints, manuals, and special procedures as required.
  • Identify and procure materials, documenting needs on work orders.
  • Verify the availability of required parts with inventory before scheduling.
  • Estimate job sequences, technician requirements, and labor hours needed.
  • Maintain a backlog of work orders awaiting scheduling based on priority.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary parts, materials, and tools for job execution.
  • Develop a maintenance schedule for the maintenance area supervisor.
  • Coordinate the requisition of all necessary parts and materials.
  • Distribute approved schedules along with relevant work orders to supervisors.
  • Follow up to ensure timely return of completed schedules and work orders.
  • Maintain a collection of schedulable work orders for unplanned shutdowns.
  • Create a repository of standard work orders for routine repair tasks.
  • Review actual labor and material usage against estimates for completed jobs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
An associate's degree or equivalent is required. Experience with ERP Manufacturing systems or CMMS is preferred. A background of 2-5 years in maintenance and manufacturing supply management is desirable.

Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate core values of honesty and integrity. A mechanical or electrical background is necessary, with technical school experience being a plus.
